A Cavalcade of Random
Lately I am totally into:
- Sweaters with shorts!
- Sparkly nail polish!
- Blue-green streaks in my hair!
Lately I have been:
- Totes obsessive about Doctor Who
- Tumblin!
- Beta-ing and being beta’d. You know, it’s really hard to verb those nouns.
- Working! On work! Also on two new projects! One of them is co-written. Interrobang Sean is awesome, by the way. In case you forgot.
Soon I will be:
- Querying! And by “soon,” I mean, “this week”! Gulp!
- Moving! Yes, again! Looks like the husband and I will probably end up in New Paltz, New York! Goodbye, Virginia. You may be for lovers but you weren’t for me.
- Going to BEA! Oh my God, guys–what am I doing?! I’m so shy and I suck at conferences! Anyone have good tips? And who is going to be there? I want to meet you and giggle lots! I will even give you my shiny business card, which includes a secret link to a free short story on it! Assuming I can write it in time! Let’s hope!

Oh man, isn't Doctor Who completely nuts this season? Oh man.
Good luck on your querying, dude!!! You will be AWESOME. Also, as one painfully shy person to another, writer conferences are the best. Just about everyone's an introvert and a writing nerd, so you all act like introverted writing nerds together! It's easier than it sounds!
It's insane! Well, okay the last episode with the pirates and all was kind of crap. But oh man, am I excited for Gaiman.

The blue came out so well! Curses for me being light haired, just not convinced blue will look as well as the other strong colours I've used. Oh and cute top
Also…Dr Who, Dr Who, Dr Who (I saw a tweet doing this the other day and realised this captures the background excitement that builds in my head every Saturday).
Thanks! Ooh what colors have you done? I actually worried the blue wouldn't look good–my hair is really a meh brown, can't really tell in the pic–but I've been pleasantly surprised.
And, hee, yeah, I usually go around singing the first notes of the Matt-Smith version of the theme every week, totally hyperactive and geeky.
I've done purple, a red that turned out to be orange (I liked it, others did not), few different of shades of red that turned out 'properly' and I was chocolate brunette for about a year (which doesn't sound so exciting, but it was a big change from being quite bright blonde).
The trailer looks good this week and although should probably be suspicious after the let down of pirates (how do you do DR Who and pirates wrong – they're both already made of awesome already) am still excited!
This week's episode is by Neil Gaiman. And looks like it might have Time Lord stuff going on. Sooooo psyched!
